The Publishing House Office Supplies Manager

I was working at my desk rewriting the rough draft of my first book. I had been hired to work for one of the greatest publishing companies in the world. The only problem was that I worked in the stock room and not upstairs in the publishing room. I thought that if I delivered office supplies to the higher ups, that they might take a look at my first book and tell me what they thought.
I was the number one guy in the office supply room so I could send everyone else to the other less important aspects of the publishing company building and then handle all of the publishers directly myself. I think that most of them knew me by my first name and they all knew that very soon I would be bringing them to look over.
I think that they must be used to people giving them their book to consider publishing but I am sure that it does not usually come from the man in charge of the office supply department of their building. If they like it and they offer to publish it then I may consider taking a leave of absence until it is completed to make sure that I can devote all of my time and energy into making any necessary changes they deem necessary.
