It was such a long and dusty drive going home.  But, I always look forward to this annual family event because it’s the only time of the year that our family is united.  My 4 brothers had called me yesterday to inform me that they are already in our parent’s home.  They are all married.  I am the only girl in the family and the youngest too.  Ironically, I am the only one with a pickup truck.  My brothers have cars.  I do not mind at all because their children would then ask me to drive them around.

My mom is a perfectionist and she won’t settle for anything less. She had been the mastermind of the different modifications in our home since I was little. One of her major projects was having our floors re-installed with tiles. She went to a flooring company Florida  to check on their wares.
